WinX MediaTrans moves iPhone and iPad photos, music and videos to or from a Windows PC without relying on iTunes for everyday media transfers. Current license and bundle offers include discounts up to 80%. The software also converts HEIC photos for Windows viewing, manages playlists, protects exported files with encryption and makes room on an iPhone before an iOS update.
Quick Summary
WinX MediaTrans is a Windows iPhone/iPad file manager for selective media backup, two-way transfers and local library organization. It is not a whole-device restore utility or an Android-to-iPhone migration tool.

WinX MediaTrans Pricing, Discount Code & License Options
Select the Windows license by term and PC count, or compare the additional product bundles separately. Every displayed price is tied to its own checkout option.
These links carry the listed promotional purchase terms; no manual coupon entry instructions are needed. Discounts differ by option, so do not treat the highest bundle discount as the discount on every license.
The regular Windows product has a one-year, single-PC Lifetime and three-PC Family Lifetime choice. The two other Windows offers are bundles, while the Mac option contains MacX software and should not be mistaken for a cross-platform WinX MediaTrans license.

Can This Software Do What I Need?
Choose the task before the license. WinX MediaTrans is especially useful when you need individual iOS media files outside a whole-device sync process.
-
I need to copy iPhone camera photos to my Windows PC
Photo Transfer
SupportedSelect the photos or date groups and export them to a PC folder. HEIC images can be exported as JPG for easier viewing in Windows.
-
I want to move music between my PC and iPhone without ordinary iTunes syncing
Music Manager
SupportedExport iPhone tracks to Windows or add local songs to the device. Playlist editing, track information and supported audio conversion are available.
-
My iPhone has large videos that I need to archive
Video Manager
SupportedExport selected videos to the PC; importing videos in unsupported iOS playback formats can trigger compatible conversion.
-
I want to move an iCloud-only photo that has not downloaded to my phone
iCloud photo availability
ConditionalThe guide directs users to download the iCloud-marked photo to the iOS device first, then export it with MediaTrans.
-
I need a copy of documents on my iPhone that I can take to another computer
Flash Drive
SupportedThe Flash Drive module can add folders and files, browse them and export them back to the Windows PC.
-
I want a complete backup of apps, settings and messages before restoring my iPhone
Backup scope
Different taskMediaTrans performs selective media and file management; it does not replace a full iPhone device backup or system restore.
-
I want to transfer everything directly from Android to iPhone
Platform scope
Not supportedWinX MediaTrans manages iPhone/iPad media from Windows; the vendor’s broader migration guide mentions other phone transfer approaches, not a universal Android import feature within MediaTrans.
-
My iPhone is not recognized by Windows
USB driver / connection
ConditionalBefore purchasing for this issue alone, check the cable, unlocked phone, Trust prompt and Apple mobile-device driver recognition. MediaTrans cannot transfer files until the device is detected.
How It Works
The official user guide groups operations by media type. Start by connecting and trusting the iOS device, then work from the appropriate module.
Move Photos from iPhone to Windows
- Connect the unlocked iPhone to the Windows PC, respond to the device Trust prompt if shown, and open WinX MediaTrans.
- In Photo Transfer, select photos or date groups and click Export.
- Choose the PC folder; use Export with Encryption when a password-protected copy is appropriate.
- For an iCloud-only image, download the original to the phone first. A Live Photo may export as a JPG and a MOV file.
Put Music and Videos on an iPhone
- In WinX MediaTrans, use Music Manager or Video Manager after the device is detected.
- Add songs or videos from the PC and review the device library or playlist.
- Allow supported format conversion when the source media cannot play natively on iOS, then click Sync.
- Review the files on the iOS device before removing source copies from the PC.
Make Space Before Updating iOS
- Identify large photos and videos that can be moved off the iPhone without losing the copies you need.
- Export them to a separate PC folder with WinX MediaTrans and verify the results.
- Only after verifying the backup, remove unwanted local files through an appropriate iOS or MediaTrans workflow.
- Run the iOS software update separately using Apple’s update process; MediaTrans does not install iOS updates.
Protect or Carry Local Files
- Open Encrypt File in WinX MediaTrans to add the files/folders to protect and establish the password.
- Keep that password somewhere secure; an encrypted copy is not useful if its credentials are lost.
- For ordinary documents carried on the phone, use Flash Drive to add files or folders, then export them later to the computer.
Product Interface & Workflow
The application opens with dedicated photo, music, video and file-management modules rather than a single whole-phone backup button.
Compatibility & Coverage
The software and its connected devices must be evaluated separately: WinX MediaTrans is a Windows application that works with supported iOS hardware. The Mac checkout is for a different bundle.
| Area | Supported workflow | Buying consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Windows desktop | Windows 11 and earlier Windows releases as documented in the user guide | Check device detection and Apple mobile-device driver availability on the installed Windows version. |
| iOS devices | iPhone, iPad and iPod; current product and guide mention iOS 26 / iPhone 17 series | A recognized, unlocked device is needed before transfer. |
| Photos | Export supported photo formats including HEIC, AVIF and WebP; HEIC-to-JPG export | A photo stored only in iCloud must first be downloaded locally to the phone. |
| Music / video | Two-way media movement; format conversion when required for iOS playback | Not every video/audio codec is imported without conversion. |
| Books and documents | E-books, voice memos, podcasts and Flash Drive file/folder handling | These are selected file transfers, not a complete app-data migration. |
| Mac bundle | MacX DVD Ripper Pro, MacX Video Converter Pro and MacX MediaTrans | Mac purchase is a separate three-product family pack for two Macs. |
Features & Capabilities
These tools solve different everyday transfer problems; their value comes from choosing the right media type and destination rather than treating all files as one sync job.
Photos and Windows Viewing
- Export selected camera-roll images and albums instead of copying all phone content.
- Convert HEIC photos to JPG for Windows software that cannot display HEIC directly.
- Organize photos by date and create device albums for imported images.
Music and Ringtones
- Transfer songs in either direction and organize iOS playlists.
- Edit music metadata and create ringtones from suitable audio.
- Convert unsupported music formats to compatible MP3/AAC output when needed.
Video and Storage Management
- Move recorded videos to a Windows folder before deleting unnecessary local copies.
- Import video with supported automatic rotation/conversion for iPhone/iPad playback.
- Use the file-storage module for documents and other files not part of media libraries.
Private File Storage
- Password-protect selected photos or videos when exporting or storing them locally.
- Use the documented encryption and decryption workflow for protected files.
- Keep export locations and conversion preferences separate in the application settings.
Important Conditions & Limitations
A media transfer tool cannot solve every iPhone storage or migration problem. These distinctions matter before deleting originals or selecting a license.
iCloud-Only Pictures Must Be Available on the Device
The vendor guide says images with the iCloud marker may fail to export until they are downloaded to the phone. Do not assume MediaTrans can independently retrieve every photo directly from iCloud.
Locked Albums Behave Differently
The guide does not allow adding photos to protected built-in albums such as Camera Roll or Screenshots. Create a suitable album instead of expecting the program to write everywhere in iOS storage.
A Media Backup Is Not a Full iPhone Backup
Files copied with MediaTrans can help preserve photos, music and video before an update, but do not replace a whole-device backup containing system settings, app configurations and all private data.
Connection Problems Come Before Transfer Problems
If Windows does not detect the iPhone, check Trust authorization and the Apple USB/mobile-device driver. The product cannot recover a missing hardware connection by changing a transfer setting.
Encryption Requires Careful Password Handling
Password protection is a separate file-storage workflow. Keep an accessible copy of the password and verify decryption before removing the unencrypted source.
Mac and Windows Licenses Are Not Interchangeable
The MacX Family Video Pack contains MacX MediaTrans alongside two other Mac tools; it is not a Mac activation key for WinX MediaTrans on Windows. Review the named products when buying a bundle.
Free Trial / Free Version
The vendor offers a trial download and shows its restrictions in the user guide, but the limits are presented in a guide image rather than a reliably readable current text table. Do not assume unlimited free exports.
| Option | What is established | Decision note |
|---|---|---|
| Trial download | Trial use is available with restrictions | Review the current in-app trial limits before depending on it for a large transfer. |
| 1-Year / 3 PCs | One-year license for three Windows PCs · $9.90 | Useful for three-PC coverage over a defined term. |
| Lifetime / 1 PC | Lifetime Windows license · $19.95 | For an ongoing single-PC media-management workflow. |
| Family Lifetime / 3 PCs | Lifetime Windows license for three PCs · $39.95 | Best match within the stand-alone Windows plans for multiple household PCs. |
| Windows bundle offers | A separate Buy 1 Get 3 Free bundle and a five-product WinX Media Master bundle | Check the exact included products before choosing a bundle instead of a stand-alone license. |
| Mac family bundle | Three MacX products for two Macs · $35.95 | Separate Mac purchase; not a Windows WinX MediaTrans license. |
System Requirements
The current official product and guide establish the Windows application and iOS device scope. They do not provide a consistently accessible detailed CPU/RAM/storage minimum, so no hardware minimum is invented.
| Requirement | Documented value | Practical check |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop OS | Windows 11 and earlier Windows releases listed by the vendor | Download the Windows build, not the MacX companion product. |
| Mobile OS | Supported iOS devices including iOS 26 / iPhone 17 family | Update compatibility is device-specific. |
| USB connection | Working USB connection and device authorization | Unlock the phone and respond to Trust prompts if necessary. |
| Apple mobile-device drivers | Driver recognition on the PC is necessary for detection | If DCIM or the phone is missing, troubleshoot the connection before starting transfer. |
| Destination storage | Writable PC storage for exported files | Allow enough space for photos, videos and backups, especially large originals. |
