Can This Software Do What I Need?
Choose the task first, then check its constraints. A tool that increases resolution is not the same as one that changes the file format, and a supported feature is not a promise that every damaged source can be reconstructed.
-
I have a low-resolution video, but I do not need a different video format.
SupportedChoose the Video AI enhancement path. You can process a clip at 1X when cleanup matters more than enlargement, or select a larger output when extra resolution is the goal.
-
My handheld footage shakes, and I want to keep as much of the frame as possible.
ConditionalStabilization has a Minimum Crop preset and adjustable crop settings. Stronger correction can require a smaller retained image area.
-
I need smoother motion or a slow-motion version of a clip.
SupportedFrame Interpolation can add intermediate frames. The Skip Scene Changes control matters when the source switches abruptly between unrelated shots.
-
I want to improve old family photographs or a soft portrait.
SupportedImage AI includes photo enhancement and dedicated face restoration. Select whether the restoration should address a central face or all detectable faces rather than applying the same treatment blindly.
-
I need MP4 output, smaller files, or a basic screen recording.
SupportedThese are standard media tools, separate from AI upscaling. Choose conversion for compatibility, compression for size, and Recorder for new footage.
-
I need a Mac edition of Winxvideo AI from the offers on this page.
Different taskThe listed MacX Family Video Pack contains three named Mac utilities, not Macxvideo AI. None of the Windows Winxvideo AI license buttons should be treated as a Mac license.
-
My computer has no compatible graphics support for AI processing.
Verify firstThe regular video tools have lower requirements than Video AI and Image AI. Check Vulkan/OpenCL and the GPU model before paying for AI enhancement.
How It Works
Winxvideo AI uses separate workspaces for different jobs. Start with the operation you actually need rather than applying every enhancement in sequence. Each route below follows the controls used in that module.
Improve a video without guessing the output settings
- Open Winxvideo AI, enter Video AI and import the clip through Add Video or drag and drop.
- Enable Super Resolution. For detailed natural footage, start with Gen Detail V3; for smoother-looking source material, compare Real Smooth V3. The Anime option addresses animated material.
- Choose Enhance Video (1X) when you want cleanup without enlargement. Otherwise select a 2X, 3X or 4X scale, or a named resolution preset.
- Use the comparison preview before processing a long file. If faces or colors change noticeably, inspect the Keep Original Colors control.
- Choose the output codec, quality level and destination folder, then click RUN.
For an already sharp 1080p clip, jumping straight to 4X is not automatically useful. The guide explicitly recommends comparing different scale settings and sometimes using two successive 2X passes rather than one 4X pass.
Repair a photo or colorize a black-and-white image
- Open Winxvideo AI, select Image AI and add one image, several files or an image folder.
- Pick the model for the source. Gen Detail V3 is intended for added texture; Real Smooth V3 favors smoother output; Anime is for illustrations. The guide also lists Zyxt for low-resolution photographic material.
- Use Enhance Image (1X) for cleanup at the existing size. Choose Scale or Resolution only if the final image must be larger.
- For portraits, enable Face Restoration and select Rebuild, Fidelity or GFPGAN, then choose the intended face mode. For a monochrome image, select Colorizing Monochrome Image instead.
- Choose JPG or PNG, adjust image quality or DPI if needed, set the output folder and run the task.
Work on a noisy voice recording or separate music tracks
- In Winxvideo AI, open Audio AI and import the audio or video file.
- Use Noise Suppression for unwanted environmental sound. Preview the result and adjust filtering strength or volume rather than assuming stronger suppression is always better.
- For a song, select Keep Vocals to isolate singing or Keep Instrumentals to suppress vocals.
- Choose the supported output type and click RUN. If the file contains several audio tracks, the user guide describes selecting a particular track for targeted treatment.
Prepare a video for another device or a smaller file
- Choose Video Converter in Winxvideo AI when the source format is the problem; select a target such as MP4 H.264, HEVC, MKV or an applicable device profile.
- Choose Compressor when storage or sharing size is the problem. Load a video or folder, then adjust the size slider or codec parameters.
- If finer control is necessary, examine bitrate, resolution and frame rate. Lowering them can produce a smaller file but may remove information from the output.
- Set a destination and run the conversion or compression. These operations do not, by themselves, restore missing picture detail.
Capture a screen demonstration
Open Winxvideo AI and select Recorder. Set the full-screen or chosen capture area, confirm whether system audio and microphone audio are enabled, and select recording format and frame rate. Start with REC; stop from the recorder when the demonstration is complete. The guide also describes webcam, picture-in-picture and multiple-monitor recording for projects that need them.
Product Interface & Workflow
The interface is divided by work type: enhancement modules have their own controls, while conversion, compression and recording are separate operations. The five images below distinguish those screens and the hardware information panel.
Compatibility & Coverage
Media compatibility has two layers: whether Winxvideo AI can read the source, and which file type it can produce for the destination. The published specifications describe broad input coverage, but they should not be interpreted as identical output support for every module.
Source files and output choices
| Media | Documented coverage | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Video | Input examples include MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, AV1, H.264 and HEVC; output profiles include MP4/H.264, HEVC, MOV, MKV, AV1 and ProRes options. | A file extension does not uniquely identify the video codec. Select a supported output profile for the receiving device or editor. |
| Images | Input examples include JPG, PNG, TIFF, WebP, HEIC and AVIF. The Image AI user guide specifies JPG and PNG export. | Do not assume every input image type can be exported unchanged after AI processing. |
| Audio | Input examples include MP3, AAC, FLAC, WAV, AC3 and DTS; the guide describes MP3, FLAC, WAV and AAC among AI audio output selections. | Choose the result as an audio-only file or an output with video when the task calls for it. |
| Playback targets | The converter includes device and platform output profiles, including iPhone/iPad, Android, TVs and editing formats. | A conversion profile prepares a compatible file; it is not device synchronization or file transfer software. |
Windows and Mac are not the same purchase
The manufacturer identifies Winxvideo AI as its Windows application and Macxvideo AI as the Mac counterpart. Its general technical pages mention macOS 10.15 or later, but that does not make a Windows activation code usable for the Mac product. The Mac offer supplied here is a MacX Family Video Pack, with named DVD, conversion and transfer applications rather than AI enhancement software.
Features & Capabilities
The software's capabilities are most useful when considered by the kind of media problem they address, not by the number of tools in a menu. These distinctions help explain which operation changes picture quality, which changes motion and which simply changes how a file is delivered.
AI video detail and motion correction
Super Resolution attempts to reduce visible noise, softness and compression artifacts while enlarging video or retaining its original resolution. Frame Interpolation instead creates frames between existing ones to change apparent motion or make slow motion; it does not increase spatial detail. Stabilization analyzes unwanted movement and adjusts the picture area. These three functions solve different problems even when used on the same recording.
The frame tool supports scene-change detection to avoid inventing motion across a cut. Stabilization provides One Pass and Two Pass analysis plus presets prioritizing stability, speed, balance or minimal cropping, so the user can decide how much of the frame to keep.
Still-image repair beyond simple enlargement
The image tools address grain from high-ISO or low-light shots, softened edges, visible JPEG blocking and low-resolution material. An old photograph may also need scratches or missing areas reconstructed. For faces, the separate Rebuild, Fidelity and GFPGAN models allow different restoration approaches, while the High Quality Faces, Center Face and All Faces settings determine which people are processed.
For black-and-white photos, AI colorization estimates plausible color from visual context. It can create a convincing color image, but cannot establish what the original clothing, walls or objects actually looked like when the photograph was taken.
AI audio: reduce noise or split vocals from music
Noise Suppression is for sounds that interfere with a recording, such as wind, room noise or fan hum. The guide offers model and filtering controls, including post-filter threshold and volume adjustment. Vocal removal is a different operation: it produces a vocal-focused or instrumental-focused version of a recording rather than cleaning all background sound indiscriminately.
Finishing work: edit, convert, compress and record
The conventional media tools cover trim, cut, crop, merge, rotate, subtitles, basic effects and video-to-GIF output. Conversion changes the encoding or container for a playback target; compression trades file size against settings such as bitrate, codec, frame rate or resolution. Recorder can capture screen and webcam content with system and microphone audio, including a picture-in-picture layout.
A downloader is also documented in the Windows guide for supported online sources and streams, but access to a website does not establish permission to save its content, and download availability depends on the source and product version.
Important Conditions & Limitations
Most wrong expectations arise from treating an AI-generated detail as recovered evidence, overlooking the source file's limitations, or assuming that a broad product name means identical hardware and license rights across platforms.
An enlarged image is not a verified reconstruction
AI processing can infer plausible texture and edges from incomplete data. It cannot prove that reconstructed details were present in the original scene. This distinction matters for historical photographs, documents and identifiable faces. In severely blurred portraits, there may not be enough facial information for convincing reconstruction.
More processing can introduce trade-offs
Upscaling can change colors or make the result look less natural, and aggressive stabilization can crop away the edges of a scene. Scene transitions may also cause interpolation artifacts unless the detection setting is appropriate. Video compression is not lossless merely because a reduced file looks similar in a sample. Preview the relevant section and keep the original file when image accuracy or later editing matters.
A compatible operating system is not sufficient for AI work
AI processing relies on graphics capabilities beyond the application's basic installation requirements. The guide describes possible missing Vulkan/device errors or processing failures on unsuitable machines. Check the actual graphics adapter and supported compute APIs, not only the Windows version shown in system settings.
Free Trial / Free Version
The trial allows users to evaluate the tools but restricts what can be saved. The limits differ by module; the word “free” does not mean unrestricted editing, AI exports or high-resolution downloading.
| Trial area | Published limit | Practical consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Video AI / Image AI | Up to five watermark-free exports. | Further video or image exports carry a watermark. |
| Audio AI | Up to five watermark-free video exports, or audio processing for up to five minutes. | Longer audio projects or repeated exports require checking the full-version entitlement. |
| Converter / Compressor / Editor | Processes up to five minutes of video. | A short sample can be evaluated, not an entire lengthy recording. |
| Screen Recorder | Recorded videos include a watermark. | A trial recording is not a clean final deliverable. |
| Downloader | Resolution below 1080p. | 1080p and higher downloads are reserved for a full license. |
| Updates | Future-version updates and newly released AI features are not included. | Trial access should not be confused with the upgrade terms of a purchased plan. |
The guide describes registration with a licensed email address and an activation code after purchase. If your main concern is whether an older graphics card supports AI processing, use the trial to confirm that the relevant module can run before choosing a license.
System Requirements
Digiarty publishes separate minimum configurations for the AI modules and the ordinary media tools. The AI figures below are minimums, not assurances of a particular processing speed, and support for specific drivers or compute features still matters.
Minimum hardware by task
| Requirement | Video AI / Image AI | Converter / Editor / Compressor / Recorder |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | At least 2 GB RAM | At least 1 GB; 2 GB or more recommended |
| Disk space | At least 1 GB | 200 MB for installation |
| Processor | Requires compatible GPU compute support | 1 GHz Intel or AMD processor minimum |
| GPU examples | NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 or later, Intel Graphics 510 / UHD 620 or later, or AMD Radeon RX 550 series or later, subject to the specified API support | GPU acceleration examples: NVIDIA GT 630, Intel HD Graphics 2000, AMD Radeon HD 7700 or later |
| Windows | Windows 7, 8/8.1, 10 or 11 as documented | Windows 7, 8/8.1, 10 or 11 as documented |
Compute API and NVIDIA acceleration
For AI features, the specifications list Vulkan 1.2.x or later and OpenCL 1.0 or later as general GPU-compute requirements. The optional NVIDIA TensorRT optimization has tighter conditions: compute capability 6.0 or later, a compatible GeForce GTX 1050 or later, CUDA runtime 11.1 or later and NVIDIA driver 452.39 or later. Meeting a basic video-conversion requirement does not automatically satisfy those AI conditions.
For macOS, the manufacturer's specifications mention version 10.15 Catalina or later and list Apple Silicon acceleration for ordinary video tools. Those platform notes describe the Mac product family, not a Mac activation entitlement in any of the Windows offers above. The specifications also state that the downloader is no longer supported on Windows 7.
